Watts Regulators series 174A boiler pressure relief valves are used in hot water heating and domestic supply boiler applications to protect against excessive pressures on all types of hot water heating supply boiler equipment. It consists of a bronze body construction with NPT threaded female inlet and NPT threaded female outlet (drain) connections, non-metallic disc-to-metal seating, stainless steel spring, and test lever. Series 174A resists corrosive water conditions, sticking and freezing, and prevents water and sediment from being trapped in the seat. It is designed for emergency safety relief and shall not be used as an operating control.

Watts Regulators series LF288A lead free hot or cold water anti-siphon VAC uum breakers prevent the reverse flow of polluted water from entering into the potable water supply due to backsiphonage. It consists of lead free brass body construction (LF288A) or chrome finish (LF288AC), chemical resistant silicone seat disc and an atmospheric vent to prevent spilling. Series LF288A has a full size orifice to assure pipe size capacity and maximum flow. It is ideal for low flow, non-continuous hot or cold water health hazard installations such as on laboratory equipment.

Its unique dial-in pressure setting allows for easy adjustment throughout the 10 - 50 psi range, without the need for an external gauge. A unique encapsulated shaft seal system prevents flowing media from contacting the diaphragm, greatly extending diaphragm life. If the diaphragm ever does fail, the encapsulated shaft and body seals work together to stop water from exiting the valve. Use of a stainless steel coaxial strainer prohibits system debris from affecting the valves performance. An integral check valve allows the cartridge to be removed under system pressure for replacement or servicing.,
