Aprilaire 4410 Water Level Sensor Assembly for Aprilaire 400, 400A and 400M Humidifiers, 24 VAC , 5-3/4" L Water level sensor assembly to fit certain Aprilaire models. Fits at the bottom of the scale control insert. It has 2-magnetic reed switches wired in series in it which look for the location of the 2-floats that are sold separately. If both floats are sitting at the bottom of the sump (there is no water in there) the 2-magnetic reed switches will close. This turns the water solenoid valve on and sends water to the top of the pad. Excess water then runs down into the sump causing the 2-floats to float up and break the circuit to the solenoid valve. If either float rises up the level sensor switch will open and close the solenoid valve.
