This Environmentally GREEN refrigerant will provide your customer with a unique non-ozone depleting, long-­term replacement for R22 refrigerant without unit modification needed and without changing oil. Performance temperature range is comparable to that of R22 and is usable in a wide variety of applications.

Chemours Freon 408A an HCFC-based refrigerant, is a retrofit refrigerant option for replacing R-502 in existing low and medium temperature commercial refrigeration systems such as supermarket systems. It is an alternative to HP80 where lower operating pressures are desired such as in older systems with limited condensing capacity. No oil change is needed in many unitary and close-coupled systems.

• Works with existing mineral oil (MO) in many unitary and close-coupled systems
• Alkylbenzene (AB) oil is recommended for optimum oil return
• 1-compressor oil change to AB will typically remove 50 - 80% of the existing MO, which satisfies the recommendations and requirements of most compressor manufacturers; 10 - 25% less refrigerant is needed
