Utility Enterprises TFE-Tite is a thread sealant that is ideal for most applications, such as water, gases and alkalis. It will resist temperatures from -200 to 500 deg F and has been tested to 10000 psi. TFE-Tite contains polytetrafluroethylene (PTFE), but contains no lead. TFE-Tite can be used as a sealant for water, steam, gases (propane, natural, butane, illuminating), alcohols (glycols, ethanol, methanol, amyl alcohol, glycerin), aldehydes (formaldehyde), castor oil, sulfonated oils (turkey red oil), turpentine, salts and salt water (sodium acetate, sodium bisulfate, sodium chloride, sodium nitrate, sodium sulfate, sodium sulfite, ammonium chloride, copper chloride) and refrigerants.
