Utility Enterprises TFE-Tite is a thread sealant that is ideal for most applications, such as water, gases and alkalis. It will resist temperatures from -200 to 500 deg F and has been tested to 10000 psi. TFE-Tite contains polytetrafluorethylene (PTFE), but contains no lead. TFE-Tite can be used as a sealant for water, steam, gases (propane, natural, butane, illuminating), alcohols (glycols, ethanol, methanol, amyl alcohol, glycerin), aldehydes (formaldehyde), castor oil, sulfonated oils (turkey red oil), turpentine, salts and salt water (sodium acetate, sodium bisulfate, sodium chloride, sodium nitrate, sodium sulfate, sodium sulfite, ammonium chloride, copper chloride) and refrigerants.

Blue Monster professional grade pipe joint compounds have been engineered to address poor quality metal threads and the increased use of plastic pipe systems. Two formulas are available in the regular compounds one with and one without PTFE. Multi-purpose thread sealant made with DuPont Kevlar for use on metals including steel, stainless steel, brass, copper, aluminum and on plastics including PVC, CPVC and ABS. Leak-free joints can be tested and put into service at once. MeGallonoc wipes clean from hands and tools with a dry rag, is odor-free, grit-free and will not separate or settle. MeGallonoc does not harden, crack or become brittle, joints can be disassembled without damage to pipe, fittings or threads years after the joint was made. MeGallonoc is applied easily with a natural bristle brush even at temperatures as low as -25 deg F and performs over a temperature range of -50 to 400 deg F. It provides leak-proof hydraulic resistance to 12000 psi and withstands gas pressure up to 2600 psi. MeGallonoc is non-toxic, non-hazardous and non-flammable. It contains no lead, heavy metals or volatile solvents.

These thread sealants are a variation of our basic RectorSeal No. 5 formulation modified for specific applications where low odor, non-staining, and soft set features are desired. RectorSeal No. 5 Special is especially formulated for use around gas detection equipment. RectorSeal No. 5 Sub-Zero is especially formulated for low temperature applications and is Brushable to -35 deg F. They are listed under the uniform plumbing code (IAPMO) file no. 1282. In addition, they are approved and listed with the Canadian standards association (CSA).
