Founding & Early Years Tri-Dim Filter Corporation was founded in 1968 by John Stanley. The companys initial mission was to develop and market innovative air filtration products, focusing on synthetic fiber media instead of more traditional materials. One of their first major innovations was the Tri-Dek media: a depth-loading, graduated-density synthetic filtration media, constructed of layered (ply) synthetic fibers, designed so that coarser fibers capture larger particles and finer fibers capture smaller particles as the air passes through.
