Available with top/bottom (Model HS) or side (Model HC) inlet/outlet piping, Modine horizontal steam/hot water unit heaters install quickly, easily and at low cost because they are lightweight. These units are particularly useful in greenhouses with low ceilings and are normally placed around the perimeter of the greenhouse to create a warm air blanket along the walls.
- HSB units have top and bottom supply and return connection
- This permits the units to be rotated 360 deg without piping change
- This permits the units to be installed in low clearance areas
- Units have a 2-piece casing for easy coil access
- All model have tapped holes for suspension by threaded rod
- Optional pipe hanger adapter kit, except HSB 18 and HSB 24 which mount directly to and are supported by the supply and return piping
- Serpentine copper tube coil design has high resistance to thermal shock, event under high steam pressure
- Absence of coil headers eliminate potential leak and increases coil face area without increasing overall size of units
- Coil designed for greater water carrying capacity with lower friction loss
- Dimensions are for standard and low outlet temperature model
