The S365 Charging Jacket is a reliable way to charge TxV systems in cold weather. Normally, low temperatures remove too much heat from the condenser coils, so HVACR professionals should only work on TxV systems when the outside air temperature is 70 deg F or higher. Now, the new Fieldpiece Charging Jacket solves that problem, and TxV systems can be accurately charged down to 37 deg F outside temps. It's the perfect tool to dramatically extend the hours in a day, and the days in a year, where techs can install, service, and charge TxV systems. Made from parachute-grade material, the Charging Jacket is attached to the top of a split TxV system with hooks, so that the air inlet is not restricted. Then the unit is turned on the jacket puffs up from the air being forced out of the air outlet. The top is then adjusted with a drawstring until the proper pressure differential is reached between the high and low side (between 160 psi and 220 psi for R410A; and between 100 psi and 145 psi for R22). Once the systems stabilizes for 15 minutes at the correct pressure differential, the system is ready to be charged.
- Charge TxV systems in cold weather
- Charge TxV systems from 37 - 70 deg F outside
- Service maintenance contracts before and after the summer heat
- Easy to adjust to reach correct pressure differential
- Great way to increase business during the slow season
- Field tested for accuracy
- Looks professional
- Extend billable hours
- There is no other product on the market made specifically for this purpose
- Currently, HVACR professionals either do not work on TxV systems if it is below 70 deg F outside, or, if it's an emergency techs might use their actual jackets or cardboard to block the air inlet
- The problem is those methods are inaccurate
- The charging jacket's advantage is that it works to bring the pressure drop across the TxV to at least 160 psi and therefore has the same effect on the system as higher temperatures do
- HVACR professionals can now dramatically extend their billable hours because they can work on systems during the off season
- So instead of having the do service contract check-ups during the summer rush, service and maintenance can be start early in the spring, and continue late into the fall
- And even year-round in many parts of the country
- Parachute grade
This manual ranger covers the parameters and ranges you need for most HVACR applications. The LT17A meter measures current, resistance, voltage, capacitance, frequency, continuity, and temperature. Test leads store in the meter body and, with the probe tips removed, connect to any Fieldpiece accessory head. The body is made out of durable ABS plastic and comes with a bright blue backlight for poorly lit test areas. Get great accuracy using the included k-type thermocouple and an easily accessible temperature calibration pot. The testing capabilities packed into this classic style meter is its main competitive advantage. In addition to all of the ranges, it has direct temperature measurement and works with all of our accessory heads to make it one of the most complete classic style meters available for HVACR professionals.
- 4 amp AC with included clamp
- Works with accessory heads
- Microamps for flame diode test
- Frequency for motor setup
- Works with Fieldpiece accessory heads
- Record the minimum or maximum reading during a measurement, to exit the min/max function, hold the butTon for more than 2 sec
- Tilt stand and magnetic hanger
- Bright blue backlight
- Rugged ABS case with rubber boot
- Even though it's a classic style meter it still fits naturally in your hand
- Auto power off to save battery life
- Cat III 6 volt
- LT17A Classic Style Clamp Meter with Temperature, ADLS2 Deluxe Silicone Test Leads, ACH4 4 amp Clamp Accessory, ATB1 Wrap Tab Bead Tip Thermocouple, ASA2 Short Alligator Lead Extensions, ANC5 Mail Pouch-Style Instrument Case, 9 volt Battery (Installed), Operator's Manual
Fieldpiece Instruments SOx3 Combustion Checker With Auto Pump, 0 - 25%, The SOx3 Combustion Check is a great tool to easily tune furnaces when a full combustion analysis isn't necessary. Designed specifically for HVACR pros, the SOx3 provides all the essential measurements needed to tune most combustion equipment. It directly measures %O2 and flue temperature, and calculates %CO2, %Excess Air, and combustion efficiency. Like all Fieldpiece products, the SOx3 Combustion Check Tool was designed to help HVACR professionals do more with their tools. From custom fuels to field-replaceable oxygen sensors, the SOx3 can be trusted to measure up for any furnace tuning job.
Fieldpiece Instruments SRH3 In-Duct Diagnostic Psychrometer, 0 - 100% RH, The SRH3 In-duct Psychrometer is a great tool to properly charge fixed restrictor systems by quickly determining the target superheat, and to help determine optimum airflow across the evaporator with a target evaporator exit temperature test. To assist HVACR professionals get the proper measurements, Fieldpiece engineered this in-duct psychrometer to take measurements in the duct where they are supposed to be taken -- near the evaporator! The 38" telescoping probe's laser etched ruling and flattened edges allows techs to locate proper measurement points within a duct, and ensures that the probe is properly aligned. With the quick sensor it's a snap to determine target superheat, and take target evaporator exit temperature tests.
The SPK1 pocket knife style thermometer features a sharp tip for punching through flex duct and hangs easily from a vent or thermostat. Pull out the probe rod just like you would a pocket knife. 16 detent position grooves hold the rod at virtually at any angle. The probe rod folds away simply with no cover sleeve to lose. One of our most popular instruments for HVAC/R field service.
- Convenient probe tip protection and storage
- Easily fits in shirt pocket
- Easily hangs from vent or register
- Min/Max function
- Hold function
- Auto off after 10 min

Fieldpiece Instruments SDP2 Dual In-Duct Psychrometer, 0 - 100%, -4 to 140 The SDP2 dual In-duct psychrometer is more than just your everyday HVACR psychrometer. It gives HVACR professionals more insight into HVAC evaporator performance than any other psychrometer, because it takes four evaporator measurements at one time: supply wet bulb, supply dry bulb, return wet bulb, and return dry bulb. So HVACR professionals get a live, real-time snap shot of the evaporator performance, even while conditions are changing. Based on these live, dynamic readings, the SDP2 dual In-duct psychrometer registers system changes as they happen, and automatically calculates actual Delta-T, Target Delta-T, actual Evaporator Exit Temperature, and Target Evaporator exit temperature. Plus enthalpy (BTU/LBM) and dew point can be displayed in real-time. The SDP2 is a great tool to help HVACR professionals do more all by itself.
