Sid Harvey FlowPro -100° anti-freeze solution protects by lowering freeze point. Below the freeze point, ice crystals begin forming and the remaining solution becomes more concentrated. As it concentrates, FlowPro consistency turns into a flowing slush. Unlike water, FlowPro actually contracts as it gets colder. This slushy formula is now capable of flowing into and filling available expansion volume in the system.

Utility Enterprises No-Freez Concentrate is pure high grade propylene glycol with special anti-corrosion inhibitors and color indicators. Products contain propylene glycol because propylene glycol is the only material safe for most ordinary anti-freeze requirements. This is because propylene glycol is non-toxic and non-irritating and eliminates the possibility of contaminating domestic, potable water with toxic materials. Beware of products that may contain other ingredients such as methanol, ethanol or ethylene glycol, which cheapen these products and raise the toxicity of the antifreeze. This defeats the very reason for using non-toxic anti-freeze.

Nu-Calgon 4187-15 Clean new or lightly corroded existing systems with Nu-Calgon System Cleaner (4370-08) prior to the installation of Burst-Kontr'l AP-100. Rinse thoroughly. Do not use Burst Kontr'l AP-100 with Galvanized steel. Refer to the dilution chart below to determine how much Burst-Kontr'l AP-100 to use as a percent of system volume to achieve target freeze protection or burst protection.

Nu-Calgon 4189-05 Freez-Therm Inhibited Ethylene Glycol, 5 Gallon Pail, Freez-Therm is an inhibited ethylene glycol-based heat transfer fluid and antifreeze for chilled water, hydronic and other closed systems. It is formulated with a fluorescent green/yellow dye for leak detection and product identification and an industrial strength corrosion inhibitor designed specifically for HVACR systems. The corrosion inhibitor protects metals commonly found in both residential and commercial installations, including brass, copper, solder, steel and cast iron. Freez-Therm is a complete heat transfer fluid and freeze point suppressant. Many commercial and industrial closed water systems are required to operate while being exposed to varying extremes in temperature. And, many times these extremes may approach the freezing point or the boiling point of the water. As a result, use of a heat transfer fluid in order to suppress the freezing point or raise the boiling point becomes a matter of system design. In these applications, use of the heat transfer fluid will enable the system to operate at the desired operating temperature. In addition, the heat transfer fluid should contain a corrosion inhibitor to protect system metal as those types of systems are invariably troubled with corrosion. Inhibited glycols, ethylene or propylene, are typically the compounds used in these applications.

Freez-Kontr'l is nearly odorless and the product of choice when contact with potable water is possible. The ingredients used in its manufacture are GRAS (generally recognized as safe), under title 21, part 182 of the US code of Federal regulations, where accidental or incidental contact with potable water could occur.
