Nu-Calgon 4207-47 Liquid ice machine cleaner is a 75% phosphoric acid of the highest food-grade quality. It is fast acting yet very safe to use and it does not give off any harsh fumes. Because of its 75% phosphoric acid content, it is the most concentrated ice machine cleaner in the market. It has a specific gravity of 1.63 and weighs 13.6 lb/Gallon. Usage rate is 8 fl oz with threeGallons of water. The number one category of problems troubling an ice machine are water-related and the most frequently is lime scale. As the water is frozen into ice during an ice maker's cycle, the naturally occurring dissolved minerals in the water, some of which can combine to form lime scale, remain behind in the unfrozen recirculating ice water simply because water tries to freeze in its pure state. As the cycle continues and more water is made into ice, the minerals over concentrate and eventually precipitate as a lime scale deposit. As the scale begins to form, it creates a physical obstruction that results in: plugged distribution holes, restricted water flow and eventually the ice maker will hang-up or jam. Ice harvest is reduced and eventually the machine will shut down, requiring service. This sequence of events can affect both cubers and flakers. Some believe that flakers are free of scale problems since all of the water is made into ice. Not true. Flakers can scale-up as well, jamming the auger and eventually resulting in a broken belt or drive mechanism.
Nu-Calgon 4299-T8 Pump Protector, 10 oz Spray Can, Colorless Foam-in shut down corrosion protection for all types of pumps any pump that is shut down and drained part of the time should be safeguarded with aerosol pump protector. Pumps used in cooling towers, swimming pools and vacation homes, auxiliary pumps, marine and industrial pumps can develop corrosion deposits on the impeller and other close-tolerance areas during shut down, causing the pump to bind. Aerosol pump protector prevents this corrosion and lubricates the pump so that it starts right up every time! pump protector is water soluble and will not cause any foaming problem when the pump is started. If the pump is used for drinking water, flush it thoroughly by running water off a few minutes before placing the pump back in service. Protects seasonally operated pumps against corrosion during shutdowns by"winterizing" them. When corrosion occurs in close-tolerance areas, it can cause the impeller to stick or bind. Protect your clients investment and your reputation! Safe for all types of water pumps and it requires no special rinsing at start-up.
- Protects against corrosion and ends-pump impeller binding
- Convenient aerosol package
- Safe for all types of water pumps
- One can is enough for most pumps
- Requires no special rinsing at startup
- Protects pool pumps throughout the winter
- This product has been authorized by the USDA for use in federally inspected meat and poultry plants
- 95% volatile
- Level 1 heat of combustion
- 13 cm flame height, 4 - 5 sec flammability duration Foam-in shut down corrosion protection for all types of pumps any pump that is shut down and drained part of the time should be safeguarded with aerosol pump protector.
