Along with soldering, brazing, threading, and grooving, press technology has become a standard joining solution for trade professionals. The popularity of press technology in the joining of copper systems inevitably led to the development of its use with other materials, particularly steel. Over the past years, there has been an increased acceptance and use of press technology with steel system applications such as mechanical, sprinkler, steam, and LP/natural gas. As a result, Streamline STL and Streamline STL-G Carbon Press Fittings incorporate several thoughtful performance features to provide an improved fitting and more reliable joint. These evolutionary advancements have focused on delivering greater ease of installation and increasing modern press technology reliability. We understand that press tools and jaw sets are expensive investments for the contractor and costly inventory items for wholesalers. Therefore, we focused on improvements to the seal and grip mechanics rather than the fittings shape/pattern designs. Because of this, Streamline STL and Streamline STL-G Carbon Press Fittings are compatible with most tools and jaws on the market, making use easy and cost-effective.
