R-22 REFRIGERANT BANKING & REBATE PROGRAM

 

            Sid Harvey’s has developed a program for banking recovered R-22 designed to help contractors manage and maintain their refrigerant for future use.  When the next significant HCFC step down occurs on Jan. 1, 2010, it is expected that R-22 service demand will exceed the allowed virgin R-22 supply by 27.5 million pounds.

            Supplies of R-22 are rapidly becoming valuable assets as the price of R-22 has doubled in just the past year.  Sid Harvey’s program provides a method of easy deposit and withdrawal of R-22 while giving you significant discounts on the per cylinder price of R-22 and securing your supply beyond the phase-out deadline.

            Sid Harvey’s R-22 Banking and Rebate Program provides several benefits beyond typical programs offered by other wholesalers and reclaimers:

-      Purchase virgin R-22 at a discounted price, instead of reclaimed gas, based on the amount of
recovered R-22 in your bank.

-      Your banked R-22 enables you to be more competitive in securing future refrigerant service work.

-      At the beginning of each calendar quarter, you will receive a rebate check or a credit to your account
based on the number of pounds of virgin R-22 purchased and the number of pounds of recovered
R-22 banked.

-      Bank at any Sid Harvey branch – 75 locations nationwide.  Enjoy the convenience of dropping off used refrigerant or picking up virgin refrigerant at the branch closest to you or your job site.  We track your transactions system-wide.

 

TYPICAL R-22 BANKING SCENARIO
            All “per pound” prices referred to here are subject to change over time but for the purpose of showing how Sid Harvey’s programs works, we are using today’s current prices.

            The price of virgin R-22 is $6.00 per pound.  The exchange price of $4.00 per pound is the price that you pay when you exchange your banked R-22 for virgin R-22.
